Julspel på stan!

Mitt i centrala Göteborg där julshoppingen pågår som bäst runt Domkyrkan, spelas varje år ett fantastiskt julspel. Detta var andra året vi var på det, och det är en underbar tradition. En änglakör sjunger och alla är utklädda. Maria får rida på en riktig åsna och höra på bredaste göteborgska att värdshuset är fullt, men det finns plats i stallet.

De vise männen kommer inridande på en äkta kamel (som till barnens stora fröjd både kissade och bajsade på "scen")!

Man får klä på alla ordentligt för kallt är det! Moa och Ville satt på första parkett på en höbal.

Herodes var livsfarlig, tyckte framförallt Stella.
Efter julspelet är det fritt fram att klappa djur och hälsa på Jesusbarnet. Alla småflickorna turades om att hålla. Mamman kände då så starkt, när hon fick se våra små flickors storögda fundersamhet när de höll Jesusdockan, att NU kunde det bli jul, hela vägen in i hjärtat.

(Amazingly enough, there is a wonderful Christmas play in the very town center of Gothenburg, the week before Christmas. You would think this country is completely heathen, but lots of people come to watch. We love it, so almost all of us went (Hanna, Anneli, Dorotea, mormor and morfar, the mommy and all our kids). They have a choir of angels, a donkey for Mary and Joseph, a real, huge camel for the wise men, King Herod and shepherds with real live sheep, right there in the town center. After the little play you may walk around and pet the animals and help hold the baby Jesus. That's when Christmas hit the mommy - seing all our little girls taking turns and holding our Savior, and watching him as if they really knew who he is (even if he was a doll).)
